Q.  Where has Hunger Plus, Inc. helped recently?

A.  We have helped in every Continent except Antarctica over the years.  Most recently, however, our efforts have been concentrated in the United States, South and Central America.  We have provided food and humanitarian aid valued at millions of dollars in these areas; including  disaster relief after the most recent hurricanes.  Some relief we have been able to provide has been food, cleaning supplies, general hygiene products, medical & dental supplies & equipment, infant supplies, and much more.  Thank you to those who have helped!   

     

Q.  Who has Hunger Plus partnered with on projects?

A.  Hunger Plus has been approved by the USAID and USDA and is a not-for-profit 501 (c)  (3) organization.  We have worked with Rotary Clubs & Districts, Private Volunteer Organizations, Rotarian Action Groups on the Alleviation of Hunger & Malnutrition and Disaster Relief, Creation Care International, World In Need, food distributors, transportation companies, churches, missions and individuals.   

        

Q.  When was Hunger Plus founded?

A.  In 1998 by Chairman, J.B. Roberts, and 8 other Rotarians.  It all started with the Tarahumara Indians in Chihuahua, Mexico.  Their community was starving because of climate, drought and the inability to feed themselves.  Hunger Plus and Rotary first addressed their immediate problems and then worked with them to help them, help themselves.    

    

Q.  How does Hunger Plus, Inc. utilize my contribution?

A.  Since HPI has no paid employees or administrative expenses, all of your donation dollars are used towards the purchase of food, shipping costs and humanitarian aid.  And your donation is tax-deductible.
