bullet Haiti is the poorest country, and the most disease ravaged, in the Western Hemisphere.  The emotional impact of my experience in Haiti taught me the importance of human life, caring, and volunteering in an effort to make life in a third-world country better for those who are in despair.  Read more . . .
bullet Need for funds for Romanian Orphanages:  Child Life International and the Rotary Clubs of Iasi, Romania will interact to feed children in state orphanages in the northern parts of Romania, approximately 25-30 different facilities will be involved.  Read more . . .
bullet Need for Warehouse for Fruit Storage:  In conjunction with the success of the orphanage project in Morag, Poland, and the harvest of fruit from the 3,000 fruit trees that were planted in 2001, there now is a problem of how to store the fruit so that they can be used for the whole winter.  Read more . . .
bullet  “Voice of Heart” - This is a charitable organization working in the Republic of Belarus. The main goal of our work is to help the disabled people in Belarus. We would like to find partners among organizations, funds, associations, etc., as to start new international activities and projects that will help to hit the goal of our organization.   Read more . . .

bullet You’ve heard about the wonderful Hunger Summit that was sponsored in July at the Wilson-Batiz Borderland Food Bank in Nogales, Arizona by the Rotary Clubs in Rio Rico and other service clubs throughout the area.  As a result of that event and its success, Rotary Clubs throughout the state will be invited to participate in similar activities in their community or region of the state. bullet Four different tribes of Indians in the area, all of whom exist in extreme poverty, and hunger for these people is simply part of their daily lives. UPDATE: This request for help has been answered.  Rotary District 6220 in Wisconsin is raising the money to send food to this area of Mexico.  The details will be posted at a later date on the Success Stories page.
bullet Missionvale Care Centre - a Non-Government Organization founded by Sister Ethel Mormoyle (an Irish nun) some 14 years ago - to alleviate the plight of the destitute people in this area.  Read more . . .
